Bernstein Bernstein Krawec & Wymard P.C. Awarded Department
of Justice Contract
March 31, 2000. Bernstein Bernstein Krawec & Wymard, a Pittsburgh-PA based law firm concentrating in the areas of creditors' rights, collections and bankruptcy, has just been awarded a five-year contract to perform debt collection services on behalf of the federal government, specifically, the Department of Justice (D.O.J.).
According to Peter Wymard, partner in the firm, "the process of selection is long and involved. We've been working on and preparing for this for more than a year and are quite excited to perform services on behalf of the United States Government. "
Wymard explains that the D.O.J. work will include a high volume mortgage foreclosure business as well as the collection of unsecured federal debts such as student loans. This type of work is perfectly suited to the Bernstein firm, as it has focused in the arena of collections for more than 30 years. Robert S. Bernstein, Managing Partner of the firm, is Past-President of the Commercial Law League of America, the nation's largest creditor's rights organization.
